Supported Equipment
The following List shows the current supported equipment . This List shows all equipment types supported by ARK RF software products. Equipment types are only relevant to particular products.
Many models from the same manufacturer will have compatible GPIB command sets. If a model isn’t listed, try selecting a similar model.
Many manufacturers provide native and emulated instruction sets. i.e. most power meters provide an HP437 or HP438 compatibility mode. If a driver is not listed it maybe worth investigating if the instrument can emulate one of the supported drivers.
The list covers the more common instruments. Drivers are added (as a free service) as and when required, to request a driver for a particular piece of equipment please email. Expect to provide the GPIB syntax information from the instruments manuals.
Using IVI drivers
In addition to the internal equipment drivers, all ARK RF systems products can now use IVI drivers supplied from the OEM's websites. To use IVI drivers the host machine must install the IVI core shared component system which can be downloaded for free from the IVI foundation website.
Once these core components are installed, Drivers can be downloaded and installed. Autolab and SPview can drive any intrument that has a class compliant driver available.
External drivers
External drivers expand the internal drivers. They are user defined drivers created using Autolab or SPviews driver builder tool.
Many instruments can be defined using the driver builder tool providing they have SCPI command sets.
Several drivers are shipped as external drivers, the list increases all the time as new instruments come along, they are not listed here.
